EDP Renewablesadds to Indiana wind power capacity:With 1,400 megawatts of installed renewable energy capacity in Indiana, EDP Renewables recently strengthened its position as the top wind energy producer in the state with the completion of the 202-megawatt Sweet Acres wind farm, which will power the equivalent of more than 54,000 homes.

An exciting ride for solar power in California: The world’s largest regional theme park company, Six Flags Entertainment , has installed a new 12.3-megawatt solar carport and energy storage system at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles . The project will rank as the largest single-site commercial renewable energy project in California.

Heartland Wind project brings wind power to heart of Michigan: Consumers Energy is bringing more renewable wind power to central Michigan with its 201 MW Heartland Farms Wind project, which represents a $358 million investment in the state’s clean energy infrastructure, and joins four other wind projects the company has in Michigan.

Bellflower project brings solar power—and plant benefits—to Indiana: Lightsource bp’s 152.5 MW Bellflower Solar project in Indiana will contribute to the state’s renewable energy in a big way, but it also has environmental benefits, including 800 acres of land under and around the solar panels planted with vegetation that includes native species beneficial to pollinators and other wildlife.
